Accessibility

Alluminous is for everyone That’s why we do our best to make the festival and the route as accessible as possible.

Route

The route around the Weerwater is fully wheelchair accessible and closed to through bicycle traffic, allowing visitors to enjoy the artworks without being disturbed. Visitors using a wheelchair, mobility scooter or adapted bicycle, such as a tandem or side-by-side bike, are of course very welcome on the walking route. We kindly ask you to be considerate of other visitors and to maintain an appropriate speed. One of the artworks is located slightly further away from the path, but it is clearly visible from the walking route.

Toilets

There are toilets at several locations along the route. Accessible toilets are available at every toilet location. See festival map for exact locations.

Audio tour

An audio tour is available at every artwork. In addition to information about the artwork, the audio tour also includes a description of what you can see. This allows visitors with visual impairments to get a better sense of the artwork and its surroundings.

Questions?

We want as many visitors as possible to enjoy the extraordinary light art and atmosphere of Alluminous. If you have any other questions about the accessibility of our festival, please feel free to contact us in advance.
