Plan your visit

During the autumn holidays, the Rondje Weerwater is lighting up once again! Take a magical walk around the lake and be amazed by spectacular light artworks. Along the way, enjoy delicious food from the food trucks and live music. The route follows the path around the Weerwater and is approximately 5.5 kilometres long. There is no official starting or finishing point, so you can begin your walk from anywhere around the lake.

Festival map

The map will be available here soon. Download it to your phone so you can easily access it on the go. Or pick up a printed copy at either of the two information desks, at Esplanade or Hortus (at Price).

Opening hours

Alluminous takes place during the autumn school holidays, from 9 to 18 October.

The festival is free to visit and open daily from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Outside these hours, the light artworks will be switched off.

Transport & Accessibility

Alluminous takes place around Weerwater in the centre of Almere and is easily accessible by bike, public transport and car.

Shuttle boat

Is the 5.5-kilometre walking route a little too long? Take the Alluminous shuttle boat!
The boat takes you from Esplanade to Hortus, approximately halfway along the route. From there, you can continue your walk on foot. Alternatively, you can walk the first half of the route and take the boat back.

This way, you can enjoy the entire route over two evenings, at your own pace.

Accessibility

Alluminous is for everyone!
That’s why we do our best to make the festival and the route as accessible as possible.
