Transport & Accessibility

Alluminous takes place around Weerwater in the centre of Almere and is easily accessible by bike, public transport and car.

BIKE - At the Esplanade, you can use the existing bicycle parking facilities. Three additional bicycle parking locations will be provided along the route, allowing you to start your walk around Weerwater from there.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT - If you’re travelling to Almere by public transport, the Esplanade is the recommended starting point. It is a 10-minute walk from Almere Centrum train station.

Another convenient starting point for the light art route is bus station ’t Oor, allowing you to start your walk on the south side of the Weerwater. From the bus station, it takes approximately 5–10 minutes to walk to the Weerwater, where you can begin your light walk.

BY CAR – If you’re travelling by car, we recommend starting the route at the Esplanade and using one of the nearby car parks (P5, P6 or P7).
