Oll Korrect

Oll Korrect

Rutger Buiter (on behalf of Vis à Vis)

The abbreviation O.K. finds its probable origin in the deliberately misspelled 'Oll Korrect.' Is everything fine or is there more going on? Despite the water rising to concerning heights, this work of art gives a thumbs up and tirelessly tries to reach higher. The digital icon of approval turns out to be self-contradictory when inverted. An ode to continuing to see the good despite everything, caught in the loop of fast entertainment. Or will it work this time?

About the artist

About the artist

Rutger Buiter (1977). Been active in visual location theater since 2001 as an actor, director and designer. From 2001 to 2013 with the internationally traveling theater group The Lunatics. Afterwards, he joined the theater company Vis à Vis as an artistic core member involved in all productions. Rutger has a preference for the visually grotesque and the poetry that tells its own story. A maker in which humor plays an important role and can therefore reflect on the sometimes overwhelming world we live in through a disarming smile.
